There’s a cinematic theme to this month’s issue with the retro sci-fi stylings of Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed on Wii, Teenage Zombies on DS, George of the Jungle, Ghostbusters and LEGO Batman.
So much promise, and yet, are we destined for disappointment with this month’s crop of releases? Soul Calibur Legends is the much-anticipated Wii title leading the field, but can it live up to the previous Soul Calibur games? Donkey Kong Jet Race adds bizarre controls to the racing game genre.

Other treats include Bleach: The Blade of Fate, Samurai Warriors Katana, ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat and And Then There Were None.
It’s an astonishing month for reviews. Needless to say we’ve done a thorough job of reviewing Super Mario Galaxy over ten pages. Mazzer makes a second appearance in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and it’s scarcely any less impressive with the rest of the line-up which includes Phantom Hourglass, Smackdown Vs Raw 2008, Rockstar Taable Tennis, Sight Training, Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and more.
To celebrate the release of Mario Galaxy we’ve got a feature on the history of Nintendo platformers. Spyro the dragon breathes some fire into Wii gaming, and we sample the best of the import titles iincluding puzzlers Takoron and Tsumi Kiss and environmentally-friendly Eco Creatures.
The biggest and best Metroid Prime 3 review alone would be enough, but the rest of the reviews line-up is just as stunning. FIFA 08, Phoenix Wright 3, Crash of the Titans, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Jam Sessions… the list of quality Wii and DS releases from home and abroad goes on and on.
Once again we have some quality retro and Virtual Console coverage, we take a look at Animal Crossing: The Movie and Nintendo-related animation, we have a feature that asks whether or not the Wii is hardcore enough.

A cracking line-up of review this month begins with MySims on both the Wii and DS. And very good they are too. What’s more we have a darn good muck about with Madden 2008, Alien Syndrome and Dragon Quest Swords on Wii. Meanwhile, the DS is still flying with reviews of quality titles like Sonic Rush Adventure, DK jungle Climber, Heroes of Mana and more.
There’s yet more. Check out our new retro and VC coverage, we take a look at Japanese Nintendo magazines, and there’s a fascinating feature about Nintendo’s new Wii Ware thingummybob.

Throughout the preview section you’ll find all manner of goodies that’ll be making their way to a Wii or DS real soon.

We take a look at the Wii’s track record for innovation to find out just how far can Nintendo push the boundaries of gaming.

Donkey Kong’s back and this time he’s jet powered! We get the skinny on the big ape’s latest adventure, Donkey Jet. We also get our hands on Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, the classic adventure, Dragon’s Lair. n•Rev wouldn’t be the mag that it is without a whole raft of other previews but we’re keeping them a surprise!
Scarface: the World is Yours finally crosses the finishing line and we get our grubbies on the import version of Pokémon Battle Revolution – you might not wanna catch them all… We also go Harry Potter mad with our reviews of his latest adventure, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, on both the Wii and the DS.

Naturally there are tonnes more previews but the internet people won’t give us more space…
Resident Evil 4 creeps its way onto the Wii, hotly followed by Mario’s eighth party outing – has there really been that many? Bionicle Heroes tries to emulate the success of the Lego Star Wars games without the multi-million dollar licence to back it up and we go riding with G1 Jockey!
We don our black ties to attend a rather swanky Square Enix party in Tokyo, whilst those of us who stayed at home got the chance to take a look at the ever-changing world of Nintendo.

We delve into the mind of the Nintendo fanboy to find out just what makes them tick, and to see whether they’re a help or a hindrance to the industry. Additionally, we also take a trip to Japan and take a peek at a museum completely dedicated to the Eastern giant – it’s quite the sight!

Mixing the truly massive with potential sleeper hits seems to be the theme this month. You’ll go bonkers as we fill you in on the details regarding MySims and the return of cult-classic NiGHTS: Journey Into Dreams, but we also found the time to investigate Koei’s unique adventure Opoona, the Wii debut of Bomberman, yet another EA Wii exclusive in Boogie and also Brunswick Pro Bowling (which could be massive!).
Honesty, integrity and enthusiasm – the way in which we approach every game we review. Issue 9 has been good to us, and as such we tell you whether Ubisoft’s latest outings, Prince of Persia: Rival Swords and TMNT are worth your hard-earned cash, and report back on Heatseeker and Bust-A-Move Bash.
Are Nintendo really changing the way in which physics and videogames react with one another? Could in-game physics be ignored in favour of developers focusing on the way in which a player interacts with a controller? n•Revolution tries to predict the future…

It’s an essential read if you want to keep your Nintendo excitement levels at full tilt.

You’re not imagining it… we really do have 18 pages dedicated to just three games. Why?
